The History of THC Cartridges: From Herbert A. Gilbert to Delta-10 Vaping Carts

Herbert A. Gilbert, a Korean War veteran and scrap metal dealer, is credited with inventing the first electronic cigarette in 1960. His invention, called Smokeless, contained a liquid that was heated with a battery-powered device, creating a vapor that the user inhales. Although the invention did not contain tobacco or nicotine, it was the first documented form of the vaporizer in the United States and is often cited by current inventors.

The first type of vaping cartridge I found was a plastic container with a plastic wick (c). This cartridge, manufactured by O, pen, came with a small octagonal magnet with the name of the strain. The product was aesthetically appealing, but internally it had some flaws. At that time, the extracts were cut with PG (propylene glycol), a vaporizing agent used to improve viscosity and create larger clouds.

However, this oil usually gave me a headache after the first few tears. Oil quality aside, the plastic cartridge and wick contributed to an unpleasant vaping experience. During 1949 and 1975, the United States Army carried out the Edgewood Arsenal experiments. It was during this time that THC and THC-O were experimented with and discovered. Although the time period is long, the substance had surprising potency, so the researchers distinguished it from normal THC.

But from previous research, we already know that, aside from the temporary psychoactive effects, the long-term effects of THC are not alarming. If I had my drums, I would invent a standardized tanker truck that would connect to a combination of nozzle and battery. But soon after first testing a steam cartridge prefilled with THC, he began developing what would become the G Pen and began taking the devices out of the trunk of his car. They contain THC-O extract and other ingredients that you can vape for a gentle effect and the health benefits that come with it. Even if you see them advertised as wax carts, the most common thing is that the cartridges contain fine solvent-based cannabis extracts, such as distillate or THC oil extracted with alcohol, rather than more solid concentrates, such as wax.

An important part of the reason why cannabis vaporizers have been so successful is due to the convenience that a THC cartridge or a disposable vaping pen can offer consumers. Delta-10 vaping carts work faster than grocery ones, but the process takes a little longer than regular THC products. If you leave aside the taboo related to products and focus more on their benefits, you can see the charm of these THC-O carts.
